16 years, 2 brands, 1,500 clients and still passionate about career coaching...

This week marks 16 years since I started my career coaching business officially under my own banner. I started career coaching because I wanted to help people find meaning and purpose in their careers, and I still do. The actual date is 17th March, St Patrick's Day, to make it easier to remember, not because of any fondness for St Patrick, or for drinking Guinness.

I changed the name two years ago to Careers on Purpose to reflect my why of wanting to help people to choose their careers by choice, not by chance, to help them find answers already within them and achieve their goals with confidence. I am so grateful to all of the amazing clients and colleagues along the way who have taught me so much, it has been a privilege to work with you. I've worked with and trained some awesome coaches and I've flown solo, I've had CBD offices and met clients via Zoom, an evolving journey.

What hasn't changed is I am just as passionate about career coaching now as I was back in 2005. I still get a buzz when clients have an aha moment when they find their ideal new career, feel proud of their CV achievements, ace an interview or secure their dream job.

I have learnt about so many different industries, professions and roles and am always learning more. I'm a bit older now and perhaps a bit wiser about careers, I also know there is so much more to know. I won't ever know it all and I don't need to, my role is to guide my clients to find the answers within themselves and often this means creating something brand new.

New careers and industries are being invented all the time, sometimes by my clients themselves and this is very exciting. The career possibilities are truly endless. I look forward to the next 16 years and helping more clients to achieving their career goals. Perhaps you may be one of them?
